What the connection does
What Grow92 does with YouTube
Grow92 connects YouTube channels through Google OAuth so you can plan video titles, descriptions and Shorts alongside your other channels. Uploading through the YouTube Data API is not implemented yet, so videos are uploaded manually in YouTube Studio.
Data imported or synchronised
- Channel name and identifier
- Access and refresh tokens, encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM
- Planned video titles, descriptions and upload times from your calendar (stored in Grow92)

Setup
- Create a Web application OAuth client in Google Cloud Console.
- Enable the YouTube Data API v3 for the project.
- Add the Grow92 callback URL (/api/oauth/youtube/callback on your API domain) as an authorised redirect URI.
- Add the client ID and secret to the Grow92 server as GOOGLE_CLIENT_ID and GOOGLE_CLIENT_SECRET.
- Submit the project for Google OAuth verification, then connect the channel in Grow92 Social Accounts.

Limitations
- Grow92 does not upload videos to YouTube yet; uploads are manual.
- Videos uploaded by unverified Google projects are locked to private.
- Channel analytics and comments are not synced yet.

Not yet. Automatic upload is planned. Today Grow92 connects your channel and helps you plan titles and descriptions; you upload the video in YouTube Studio.
The youtube.upload scope is restricted. Until Google verifies the OAuth app, videos uploaded through it are locked to private.
You can plan Shorts in Grow92. Shorts are uploaded as vertical videos, so they will be covered when automatic upload is built.
