Understanding metric sources and “Not reported”

· 2 min read · Grow92 AI team

A number is only useful if you know where it came from. In Grow92 AI analytics, every platform metric carries a source label, and when nothing has reported a metric for the period we show “Not reported” instead of a zero. This guide explains each label and what you can expect to see today.

The source labels

  • Live API — fetched from the platform’s official API for a connected account.
  • Imported — imported by your team, for example from a platform export.
  • Calculated — derived by Grow92 AI from other reported metrics. Engagement rate, for example, is engagement divided by reach, and is only shown when both are reported for the period.
  • Demo — sample data in the demo workspace. It is never a real result.

Open “Where these numbers come from” on the Analytics page to see which sources contributed to the period you are viewing.

What “Not reported” means

If no connected or imported source has reported a metric for the dates you selected, Grow92 AI shows “Not reported” rather than 0. A zero is a claim — it says nobody saw or clicked your post. “Not reported” says we do not know, which is the honest answer when the data is missing.

Calculated metrics follow the same rule: if one of their inputs is missing, the calculated value is not shown, and the card explains which inputs it needs.

What reports real data today

  • Leads and conversions are counted directly from the leads in Leads & Engagement, so they always reflect your real records.
  • Publishing statistics — published, scheduled and success rate — come from your real publishing activity.
  • Platform insights (reach, impressions, engagement, followers and so on) need a provider insights connection. The sync framework exists, but fetchers for individual platforms are not built yet, so in a real workspace these metrics will usually show “Not reported” for now.

Reading cross-platform numbers

Platforms define metrics differently — reach on one network is not counted the same way as reach on another — so cross-platform totals are approximate. The Metric definitions panel on the Analytics page explains how each number is defined in Grow92 AI.

Exporting

  1. Open Analytics and choose the date range and filters you want.
  2. Export to CSV (Owners, Admins and Analysts). The export includes a source column so each value can be checked later.
  3. For recurring views, use Reports and save the configuration as a preset in your browser.
